What part of the coast do you call home?

I live in Brisbane but Lennox is what I consider my home break (my parents live in Bangalow)

Tell us a bit about the surf around there?

Lennox Point is an epic right hand point break that holds large swells and has manageable crowds.  The Lennox / Balina area has great options for all conditions and picks up more swell than any other area within cooeee.

How long have you been surfing?

Fifteen years.

What was your last session like?

Three foot fun Lennox – light onshores made for fun lip bashing!

Where else has your surfing taken you?

Indonesia and East and Southern Australia

Best swell you’ve ever seen/ridden?

Scar Reef (Sumbawa) at 6-8ft

Dream destination?

Mentawais (HTs)

When did you first pick up a camera?

Before I could surf – taking skateboarding pics

When did you sign up as a Coastalwatch Plus member

September 2013

What features have you found helpful?

Detailed forecasts and live cams on the iPhone app.

The Coastalwatch Plus MOTM Nick Kirkyby impressed us with his shots of Ballina. For sharing his story & images with us, we sent him a Surfing 2013 1oz Silver Proof $1 coin thanks to the Perth Mint as part of the Land Down Under series.
