Regional Report for Sunshine Coast (5:11am Tuesday) Smaller waves on offer along the across the coasts popular beaches this morning, with a mix of ESE and South swells. Wave height on average on the exposed open beaches is in the knee to waist high range, smaller in the southern corners, with the south facing beaches being that bit bigger, coupled with the incoming morning tide expect some larger set waves. High Tide at 10:35am. Depending on location and exposure to the SSW winds currently at 5-10 knots, surf conditions are good along the southern Maroochydore stretch south to Alex, with the northern beaches from Coolum to Sunshine and along the Kawana beaches being slightly wind affected. Make the most of the morning surf.
Rest of Day Outlook: Freshening SSE winds developing through the day, up to 20 knots at time, so expect surf conditions to deteriorate along the regions open beaches. The southern corners of Alex, Point Cartwright, inside of Moffats, with the southern corner of Alexandria Bay on the northern end offering semi clean surf, with wave height in the knee to thigh range. A-bay attracting more of that south swell. Low tide 5:03pm
