Sunshine Coast Regional Dawn Patrol Report (Wednesday 3rd March 5:38am) Another great looking morning across the regions beaches with the longrange ESE groundswell pouring in some fun waves with the open beaches being the best for size. Average wave height earlier on at the exposed locations is in the waist to shoulder high ( a little smaller in the southern corners), with set waves being a little slow due to the low tide conditions, but will start to amp up some as that tide fills back in and expect head high sets through the morning. Surf conditions and wave quality are fair to good, under light S-SW winds, however there is a forecast for those fresh SE winds to kick in early. So get out now to have the best of it. (Low Tide Maroochydore 4:35am High Tide 10:45am)
Rest of the day outlook: Longrange ESE groundswell will continue throughout the morning with some South windswell adding to the mix under fresh SE winds developing through the day. The open beaches will be the best through the earlier part of the day, becoming blown out as the SE wind creeps in, with the north facing headlands your go to for some sheletred surf. Expect wind affected uneven waves across the open beaches with smaller cleaner waves favouring the points. Enjoy your day in the waves. Spinksy
