Gold Coast Regional Morning Report: 6.25 am Wednesday, 3rd March: We're greeted with a cool, grey autumn morning and small sets still arriving infrequently out of the ESE mixing with some new, short-period SSE windswell, collectively producing sets in the chest to head-high plus range along the exposed beaches, while wrapping at lower waist to shoulder high levels along the points. Lighter inshore southerly winds are seeing fairly clean conditions at the latter venues, making for pretty fun little waves well suited to a small-wave board. We're just coming off an early 4.25 am low tide and it will fill in to a 10.40 am high.
Rest of the Day Outlook: Long range ESE swell continues to pulse at low-levels as a new round of south swell gradually muscles up during the day, offering up bit more size at Duranbah this arvo, but fresh onshore SE winds at 15-20 knots won't be doing it any favours, so the points will be your best bet for a few small, clean waves all day long. Have a great day.

For some the modern short board will never make sense. To me there are elements of the past that are still viable today, when blended with all we have learnt in the past.
