Central Coast Regional Surf Report: 6.50am Wednesday, 3rd March: We are greeted with another cold, windy autumn morning and an overnight decline in south swell from yesterday arvo. It's up to a choppy head-high to a foot or two overhead at the south-exposed spots, grading to a smaller, cleaner waist to chest high along the open beaches. Winds are fresh at 10-15 knots out of the south to SE and we're just coming off a 6.00 am low tide, making for pretty dredgy, junky surf. Still, there's no shortage of waves if you've got your froth on and the crowds are looking thin.
Rest of the Day Outlook: A new pulse of mid-period south swell should bump back up a notch as the tide fills in to a midday high, but winds look like remaining fresh out of the south to SSE all day, so aim for sheltered southern corners and more north-facing breaks for the best of it. There were squadrons of bluebottles out there yesterday - the stealth variety that sit low to the water and are harder to see, so some rubber might just come in handy if they're still lurking today. Have a good one.
